Avocado oil is derived from the flowering plant belonging to the Lauraceae
family, scientifically known as Persea Americana. The avocado tree grows
up to 20 metres tall and has leaves ranging from 12 to 25 cm in length. Its
greenish-yellow flowers produce a pear-shaped fruit known as avocado—a large
berry containing a single seed. The tree is native to South Central Mexico.

Avocado oil is extracted by cold pressing the pulp of the Persea Americana
fruit. It is an edible oil and is used in both culinary and cosmetic
