Moringa Seed Oil as Per BP Grade (British Pharmacopoeia)

Moringa seed oil is derived from the seeds of Moringa Oleifera, a fast-growing, drought-resistant tree from the Moringaceae family. Commonly known as the Drumstick tree, Ben tree, Horseradish tree, or Benzolive tree, it is widely cultivated in India (native to the Himalayan foothills), as well as in Kenya, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Malawi, Bangladesh, and various regions of Africa. The tree reaches a height of 10–12 metres, with open, drooping, and fragile branches. Its fragrant, hermaphroditic flowers begin to bloom within six months of planting.

Topical Uses of Moringa Oil

  • For Face: Add a few drops of pure Moringa oil to your daily facial cream.
  • For Hair: Mix 2–3 drops with your regular shampoo or conditioner.
Moringa oil is easily absorbed into the skin and scalp, promoting cellular rejuvenation.

Historical Background

Known scientifically as Moringa oleifera, this tree has been used for centuries across the Indian subcontinent. Almost every part of the tree—seeds, roots, bark, leaves, and flowers—has been traditionally utilised for nutritional, industrial, and medicinal applications.
