Dementholized Mint Oil (DMO), also known as Corn Mint Oil,
is a natural by-product obtained during the extraction of menthol crystals from
Mentha arvensis. Known for its mild, minty aroma and cooling properties, DMO is
widely used in the flavour, fragrance, and pharmaceutical industries.
Dementholised
Mint Oil (DMO) – IP/BP Grade (CAS No. 68917-18-0)
Also known as Corn Mint Oil, DMO is a by-product obtained during menthol
crystal production from Mentha arvensis oil. When crystallising menthol, 55–65%
solidifies, leaving behind a liquid with reduced menthol content—this residual
liquid is processed into DMO. It is widely used in flavours, fragrances,
pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics and can be tailored to specific client
specifications.
