CASSIA OLEORESIN (Food, Cosmetic, and Pharma Grade)

Cassia, scientifically known as Cinnamomum cassia, belongs to the Lauraceae family and is widely known for its bark. This evergreen tree is native to India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and South China. It is predominantly cultivated in the Chinese provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, and Yunnan and is now also grown in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Laos. The tree typically grows 10–15 metres tall with greyish bark and long, leathery leaves.

Extraction Process (How We Make It)

Cassia Oleoresin is extracted from the inner bark of the Cinnamomum cassia tree using the steam distillation method. This process captures the true essence of the spice—its flavour, aroma, and colour. The oleoresin comprises about 11% water, 4% fat, and 81% carbohydrates, including 53% dietary fibre. It is also a rich source of Calcium and Vitamin K.
